I offered Raheemah the opportunity for one of the health and wellness programs I directed at a local grocery store. She accepted the position and as I envisioned, she had great success in that role. Over the course of 8 months she offered 5 free health and wellness workshops to the members of the West Oakland community. The qualitative feedback our organization received about her from our customers was very positive. Furthermore, the quantitative evaluation we conducted demonstrated that Raheemah’s workshops were worked very well with our programs increasing the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables among our customers.
It is for these reasons, both personal and professional, that I highly recommend Raheemah Nitoto as a holistic health educator. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and trustworthy. I found her to be a joy to work with and I’m sure you will too.

Raheemah and I designed and taught the pediatric obesity health/nutrition workshops for adolescents through Alameda County Medical Center. Raheemah doesn't only teach nutrition, she is a living example of health and nutrition. I caught myself wanting to just know more about a holistic way of thinking about foods and their benefits, recipe and exercise health. She was an asset to our program. It was great working with her.

Raheemah gave a cooking demonstration as part of a project to connect undeserved children and their families to nature as a way of improving nutrition and fighting obesity. She has a wealth of knowledge on the subjects of nutrition and food justice- but the art in her session was her ability to communicate this understanding through discovering where the participants were coming from. She met them there.

Raheemah Nitoto of Urban Holistic Solutions is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is an effective leader and translates the complexities of health, nutrition, and wellness to the diverse population that we serve. She completely redesigned our HANDS (Health and Nutrition Demonstration Services) Program into a grassroots, fun, accessible and culturally relevant service. Due to her work, HANDS is now an effective and sustainable project with a deeper reach into community and will train a powerful cadre of holistic leaders in West Oakland.
